"A Y Generation Love Story -Chapter 16"
Sati was all excited about her day . Coz shiv would take her somewhere and they would be creating the time of their life . The fact that she is leaving the country is exciting and all the same depressing her. She couldn't exactly describe the feel. Some sort of strangeness as the day comes closer and closer. Her mom was all angry. She said that she would come and stay with them the last day before her departure.
During their lunch, dhivya was kind of tensed as she was running to their table.
"Guys a friend of mine is in emergency, I need to leave now. Please don't mistake me" she said to them.
"Do you want me to accompany you?" Xavier asked.
"No I can manage" , she said.
Sati gave her "what the hell is that?" look and was answered with "please understand"look.
And by two o clock Mr.Moorthy came in and told them that shiv needs to meet the client side who came all the way from America.
"I am the one who is leaving for on site trip, why should shiv meet them?" Sati demanded.
"Once you leave, shiv will be taking charge of the team so he needs to go right now" moorthy said.
"Sorry sweetheart, we will have the outing tomorrow, please don't get angry"shiv told Sati .
"It's totally fine, I get it"Sati replied.
"I know you would understand, call you later"shiv rushed without even turning back .
"What is wrong with this idiot. He is supposed to take me out today . Did you look at his face yesterday? Like some movie hero as he told you people that everyday taking me out and once he gets the clients call, he is running like a puppy? Doesn't he understand that all these evenings mean so much to me? Doesn't he really understand that he is my world and just like that he cancelled the plan?" Sati was so furious at Xavier .
"Chillax Sati, he loves you more than anything. Just worried about his life job" said Xavier .
That day evening went beyond time limit. Once Xavier finished his client call, he called a time out and asked Sati to come with him .
"But shiv will be dropping me home right?" She asked .
"He is stuck up, just got a text to drop you home, see" Xavier held out his mobile.
"He texted you and not even a single text from me from the morning, may be he got bored about me"she said.
"Not at all Sati, he is just tensed" Xavier said.
Once they hit the road Sati asked Xavier to head to a pizza Hut .
"Why?" He asked.
"Let's celebrate bro, I am fucking leaving the country in four days and no one cares
Not my boyfriend, not my best friend, no soul bothers ..so let us celebrate my departure"she said.
"Sorry Sati, have a small work in adayar, can we do it tomorrow?" Xavier asked.
"No issues, drop me right here, I'll just walk home, I need some alone time"she said .
"Omg Sati please don't cry.let's celebrate right now " Xavier stopped his bike .
"Just don't mind Xavier. May be I am being paranoid . I'll be fine. Sorry I didn't know about your work. Sorry to make you feel bad . Take care, I love walking alone with my headphones on"saying this Sati started walking .
Xavier sighed.
He texted shiv"she is crying and if she doesn't smile in the morning, I swear to God that you will be dead"
Shiv sent back "understood, your best friend will be fine".
Sati couldn't control her tears. Was she being so mean to everyone? Expecting her boyfriend to spend some time with her was such a big crime? May be if she doesn't exist, everyone will be happy. Now she was happy that she just got four days in this country.
She opened their apartment door .
The dining table was filled with so many dishes, her favorite violet table cloths, scented candles, and a big board read "WELCOME HOME SATI, I LOVE YOU".
That moment, when you want to cry so badly and your betterhalf decides to make the happiest moment happen, when this two clashes, you will be lost for feelings . Then came shiv held his hands towards her, pulled her closer hugged her with all his might, lifted her up and kissed her forehead as he placed her down.
"I love you" was all he said .
Sati broke down cried and cried and cried hugging him tighter and tighter .
"Oie cry baby, your romeo cooked all your favorite dishes.paneer naan, koftha balls, butter paneer, jeera rice and I made manchurion, kheer and some halva" dhivya said .
"I am so sorry shiv" Sati finally managed to talk.
"Wait before you start your melodrama scene, shiv jumped from the neighbor building into our terrace and sneaked in here. The landlady doesn't know yet. So better eat soon and pack him off. He needs to reach home and have some rest"dhivya said .
Then the dinner begun.
"Sweetheart I know you miss your mom so much just to give you the home touch we planned it .Dhivya took all the pain in purchasing. Trust me you got real good friend" he pointed at Dhivya.
Sati smiled. Just then she realized that her favorite folder of Raja songs were playing in the loop.
Suddenly she lost her appetite, her words, she just wanted the world to freeze right that moment. Sati was eating the jeera rice, suddenly dhivya asked "how is it?" "Awesome, taste it" Sati gave dhivya a spoon and dhivya suddenly ate as Sati was feeding her. Sati felt so satisfied. Everything was picture perfect .
At the end of the dinner, shiv gave her a small present.
Sati opened it up. It contained collage pictures of her mom dad and her. Last time when dhivya came home, Sati showed her some old clicks.
"Culprit"she muttered.
"I want you to pack this. In case if you feel like today evening that you are so alone I want you to see this album and remember that your mom is always there for you and your best friends dhivya and Xavier would do anything to make you happy. Just the times are tough and not your life, I want you to understand that you are so special to all of us. I love you so much, shiv told Sati and showed the conversation he had with Xavier.
Sati called Xavier and put it on loud speaker.
"So your work at adayar over?" Sati asked.
"Something left in the dinner that I can have?" Xavier asked.
"You stupid at least you could have told you, I thought you were my best friend and you left me crying in the middle of the road?" Sati asked.
There was a strange silence all around.
"I am coming there right now and gonna make you cry you idiot, let's do dinner at your favorite pizza hut" Sati said
"Again?" Shouted dhivya and shiv.
Xavier laughed .
Sati smiled.
