A Y Generation Love story -chapter 4.
Shiv was all confused . You know for people like you and me , we have to think about monthly payments , bank EMI , promotion prospects , and a hip size that never decreases , and at times we might even scared to see the reflection of our face in a hotel washroom . But when someone is in love , nothing bothers them . They have nothing else to think or talk about . Shiv 's fellow team mates were irritated beyond limits . He would be so obvious like a Vodafone dog behind sati . And she was as usual . So reserved , who wouldn't smile at jokes if shiv was cracking the joke . They way she would look him "I know what you are trying, but I am not doing it, get lost".
Even some of their friends start to canvas for shiv .
Keerthana would say "poor boy, why wouldn't you even be normal around him?".
"Trust me, I am" sati would reply .
It was Xavier's birthday. They were having a team outing . After the lunch it was the cake cutting . Xavier fed sati with a piece of cake , she bit half of it and naturally , Xavier fed the remaining half to shiv . Sati did not frown. She was like may be she is smiling look .
Mr. Moorthi asked shiv about his proposal plan .
"Moorthi(yeah he would call moorthi by his name, no more sir) love is something that must happen by itself . We can't force it ".
The problem with love is it even breaks the toughest of person. If some one tells us that we look like shit, we would believe them the same instant and fight with them . But if someone tells us that we look awesome and they like us, we ate gonna block them . Right away .
Sometimes when shiv would struggle with a program, sati would just come and type . They would not exchange even a single smile or thanks but they could feel that a bond was developing between them .
When sati wanted to attend a wedding reception , shiv would complete her job for her .
One fine day , they were in for a movie day . All their project members . Xavier was sitting next to dhivya , Keerthana with Mr.moorthi . Naturally shiv and sati sat next to each other . She would look at him when he wasn't looking at her . During interval break , sati occasionally sipped in shiv's cool drink . (Was it an accident). Shiv was taking pop corn from sati . Till the whole movie got over shiv and sati didn't talk a word with each other .
As soon as the movie was over , they got stuck in heavy rain . Standing in a corner of the mall, they were having a group conversation . Dhivya was talking a million selfies .
"What it would be like to have a walk in this rain ?" Keerthana asked .
"Dhivya's maskara would be screwed up . And her selfies would be not uploaded" Xavier said .
Everyone laughed as dhivya scowled at him . Everyone agreed to have a walk in that drizzle . As they walked down , sati and shiv was the last pair to come out of the corner . Sati hopped and she slipped her balance , slightly leaned on shiv and he held her hand to stop her from falling .
Everyone was looking at them . And dhivya said"and you guys don't talk to each-other?" The laughter was a little louder this time .
They were having tea in local tea shop after that drenched drizzle walking.
Sati said she didn't want tea. As everyone was served tea and biscuits, sati dipped her biscuit in shiv's tea and ate . Everyone carefully suppressed their smiles and didn't dare to look at each other .
And they left to marina . Everyone wanted to get their feet in the water . They were having a wonderful time . Shiv and Xavier went a bit deeper . Dhivya and keerthi was busy taking selfies .
Moorthi asked sati " how long you guys gona act?" .
"It's just that I am not ready for any relationship , you know me moorthi . Mom, family , society" .
"What about you ? Your wish , favor and choices ?"moorthi asked .
"Well I never have a choice or an opinion. No matter what I think, my life will be in the hands of my family members. I can fall in love with anyone , have fun but when it comes to my marriage, I would be like I don't want to hurt my mom . Shiv is too cute to spoil . He would understand".
"So you are just friends?" Moorthi asked .
Sati smiled .
Life is strange .
When they were returning in bus , shiv was sitting next to sati . He wanted to talk something to her . But he was scared that she might think him as a desperate guy .
"All set in your room ?" She was questioning dhivya .
Shiv's hand accidentally touched her hands . He purposefully left it there . Sati didn't withdraw her hand . Again the rain started . Shiv withdrew his hand to check his mobile as his mom called . He didn't dare to keep his arm over sati's.
All of a sudden sati kept her hand over shiv's hand . He looked her . She was turning and looking outside the window .
He could sense she was smiling ..
