We Won Jallikattu

I thought we have looked over certain points on this Jallikattu issue. This is not a collective point of view. This is a youngster who went down the road just believing on the government , regarding his safety , safety of his family , girlfriend, daughter , wife , SISTERS but who was back stabbed brutally.

If you have any problem with the way the events are mentioned here, get out of here. Your so called  rational behavior and rational argument has been taken into account so far. Only yesterday we felt what exactly it is like to be back stabbed by your own government (If I say police, people will come and tell me , Police men are just the tools and the actual people who gave them the orders are their superiors, hence government) .
I don't want people to sit and evaluate weather is this a good post or not. This is a collection of experience from the ground zero.
Let us not go back so deep into the ban act, court and case , legal procedures and all this. We will leave all that to those highly educated and sophisticated people who sit in AC rooms , Tv debates and release video saying students should do this, youngsters would have done that , they must do all that. So lets get it cleared.  We united, we went to the ground, we protested, we suffered for a cause, we upheld our culture , we got hit by police, we shed our blood, we got bruises , we feel the pain.
Our Sincere thanks to all our beloved brothers and sisters, their families, people who helped this cause turning into a Makkalmovement.
Special thanks to news7, meme creators, sponsors who were responsible for food, water, shelter, bed sheets, who helped us in transportation, organizing, who sacrificed their sleep for the past week so that all our youngsters, boys and girls could sleep peacefully .
So lets get this straight. To all the non- Tamil people , if you want the detailed review about jallikattu,  about how the ban was implied, how PETA got involved , how people wanted  this sport to happen so badly, see the fb pages, google it.

Jallikattu was banned for the past 3 years (including 2017 pongal), now the central ministers promised us that we will have Jallikattu for the 2017 pongal. The Supreme Court quotes "Play Jallikattu on video games" which caused a huge uproar among the Tamil Nadu Youngsters and people.   And our beloved chief minister said that he will support the cause and make sure this event will happen this year. (Lets not get the argument of UPA government / Current central government ) . The whole of the state was looking forward that day when the Bulls will jump out of Vaadivaasal . But on the day of pongal the central minister comes and says that "We have tried our level best, but we couldn't make it happen and we request the apology of Tamil People."

Day - 1
Then next day, youngsters protested in Alangaanallur. This was just a peaceful protest which included students , youngsters and family members of a common man. Then comes the police as usual arresting (lifting them up manually)  30 youngsters during the dawn .

The same day youngsters gathered at Marina against the arrest of those 30 youngsters. Their slogans of protest were
# Immediate_release_of_those_30_youngsters.
#We_Want_Jallikattu
#Ban_PETA.

Meanwhile the TN Police blocked all the way that lead to the Alangaanallur, denying the basic amenities like food, water and sanitation to the protesters and dumped them into a marriage hall keeping them under arrest.
Now people all over Tamil Nadu began to question their rights ! Who the hell are you to tell me not to protest for rights ? To play my sport ? To uphold my culture and heritage ? To boost up my self respect ?
So the question asked here is did they all gather together for the single sport ? Are they all going to play Jallikattu ?(This is totally insane question. Only 22 players paly football and thousands of fans go to support them. To enjoy a sport, you don't necessarily have to be a player, you can even be a spectator) This is a sense less political tactics ( said by Gauri Maulekhi , Animal rights activist).
The Answer is No !
1.If you have been following Tamil Nadu Politics closely you might have known that in 2009 millions of Tamil people were killed in Srilanka and we were watching it as mere spectators. Protests were held, hunger strike was staged, even sacrificing their own lives happened. But nothing could stop the genocide (search the meaning of this word and try to understand it ).
2. The same supreme court judgement says " Create a welfare board for Cauvery issue". Now the central government says , the supreme court need not enter into legislation and constitutional rights of the government. But in the Jallikattu issue, the same central government said , we cant do things as it is under supreme court .
3. They made an unnecessary issue regarding the Pongal holidays . So the people here considered that their voices and cultural rights are being diminished and they need to do something to prove that they will fight back and they will not vanish lightly into the night .
4. Issues like farmer suicide, "drought hit state"status which was given very late by the state government, no fund regarding the damages of Vardha storm,  not being able to talk about political moves in an open ground , no regulations about fees structures, safety issues , the national media neglecting us so much (if a gujarati fisherman had died or killed, the news comes out as an Indian fisher man, if the same happens in our state naturally it becomes Tamil fishermen).
5. It came out as an outburst of many such issues and the pulley has been this Jallikattu. We needed a point to fight for, we had this and we would not let this go this time. Never.

So , The Fight Back Begins!
Lets see that in the upcoming posts.

We Won Jallikattu.
Life is Beautiful.
With Love,
Arvi
