Just A Minute Dude and Diva

Hi there,
This is a letter from a teenage fellow from lower middle class to all the yo yo youngsters and upper middle class fellows out there in cities. We all know that life is to enjoy and hence there is no point in listening to advice and pleas from our elders. Don’t worry this is neither an advice nor a plea. Consider this as an open talk between both the extremes of post teen living personalities.

The first thing we need to bother is “Self-Conduct”. In all the shopping malls whenever we enter, irrespective of the day or time there would be always a fellow and a girl smooching or rubbing each other and the sad part is, we youngsters begin to consider this as a social status to have a soul mate at the age of ten! Yeah I know you saw everything in the internet and wanted to try it out somewhere. Why don’t you try the entire science project which is in the same internet or the spiritual awakening of our self? Oh I forgot, you usually don’t find time right? Lovers are not perfume to change once in a while; it is time to realize that one eternal love is more than enough and that is what would keep us alive. I understand we must celebrate Valentine’s Day with a Valentine but at the same time I wana ask you fellows a question “Do we celebrate AIDS day by being HIV positive?” Seeing you fellows with your girlfriends, we lower middle class convince ourselves that getting a girlfriend is the ultimate motto in our life and waste our time, energy and limited money resources on finding a girl.

The next thing is about your riding skills. Yeah we know you guys have the most costly bike in the town and it can reach 150 km speed in 5 seconds. But the problem is, if you alone go and die, it won’t matter. You always tend to have a friend or girlfriend on your back. Think about the family of yours and the family of the monkey sitting in your back. . .  Your boozing ability is quite great but make sure you don’t drink and drive. By seeing you and your so called friend in a bike riding at such a speed, all the middle class fellows like us; we travel in foot board of the buses and end up in some mortuary in some government hospital. Speed thrills but kills my dear fellows.

The next issue is “Treating Women”. Since you are socialized to such an extent that hugging a women in public and kissing her cheeks are just a part of culture, we lower middle class fellows who live in smaller towns and villages, think that we must come to city and make a girlfriend just for hugging and kissing. Because in villages and small towns, only husband gets to hug a wife and that too inside their bed rooms. So as soon as we get such a contradictory action in the high tech city of yours, we think that city girls are the ones who wouldn’t mind hugging in public. Even women must understand that with great freedom comes great responsibility, a man cannot use you or make you feel inferior or just throw you away like that unless you don’t allow him. Social equality is possible only if both men and women conduct themselves.

This is especially for my sisters who call themselves as Feminists and really want women to be respected as God. I tell you something, this won’t happen unless women believe in themselves. Unless they treat themselves in the way they should be treated. I am too agitated regarding the fact that you women come to streets only when the media pulls the trigger. If you really want women to be respected and treated equally, boycott all the movies which depict women as a way for draining men’s sexual desires alone. Don’t buy a book which cover page has a half cleavage of an actress or a model. Ask your boyfriends not to watch those movies or buy those books and make sure that you behave as an ambassador of womanhood  and make all of our other sisters to understand that primary goal of a woman’s life is not to please a man. We men would never be ashamed of respecting a woman because our mother is a woman and we see God within her.

This is for my brothers who call themselves as modern youngster and say that they spend their own money in any way they wish.  Economy of this nation depends upon you people fellows. Unfortunately you show so much interest to work as a slave in some MNC and not interested in starting our own empire and being a king. When you guys stand in a line with your girl friends for a party we stand in a line in our ration shops for our kerosene and sugar. You work for a MNC, you spend in imported brands, and you thrive for fluency in English. You are so much interested in copying or thieving the American style and accent and in the mean time our Indian culture gets lost, it slowly begin to lose its self respect and your mother tongue would be extinct soon.

This is not a comparison between a Village youngster and a city fellow. City guys don’t understand the fact that you serve as a role model to all the small town fellows. When this small town fellow comes to your city for the first time, what he sees would be stuck in her heart forever. He would dream of being in your shoes real soon. Of course Abdul kalam and Swami Vivekananda  serve as the best example for a fellow but you guys live in front of our eyes and it is easy to copy you fellows than others. Just image if you conduct yourselves with complete pride and self confidence, as an ambassador of our Nation, with stern principles and teachings, you would motivate all of village and small town youngsters to play a better role in building a nation.

I have not written this post to blame you city living brothers and sisters, but I have written this post just to remind you that you are our heroes and   heroines every single day. You are the one who must guide us in the right path. Just imagine if you wisdom, exposure and skills combine with our power, hard work and trust then our Mother India would be nothing but a dream land of every single human in this planet.

We are ready to follow your path; it is time for you to lead us towards the great destination.

                                                                                                       With Love and Respect,
A fellow from a small town.
