We are all so busy finding faults in youngsters mindset and their attitude towards women. All the recent rape cases, sexual abuse and harassment have been talked about more than enough. Now the question arises as "What does porn addiction has to do with the social care?"
Right from the childhood, knowledge about sex or talking about sex has been banished in Indian environment. All of a sudden when the boy or girl enters into his/her teens, slowly the sex talks enters into the family. For a girl when she hits puberty, naturally her mother and other relatives share the information about sex to her. But image the state of a male kid ! With all the suppressed emotions and with very limited knowledge about the so called sex. His knowledge is very scanty from the information gathered from his friends, from late night television and few porn books. This porn book would be usually in their colloquial language and he uses this information and tests few things upon himself.
Readers of this post might feel that this is quite not an issue that can be discussed in public. But what are all the issues you are fighting for now i.e, women rights, abuse and vulgarism was born just because a teenage fellow was misguided and in the end he might turn out to be a fellow who hates women or a fellow who mistreats women . In simple terms he might turn out as a chauvinist. With these scanty information, he enters world wide web and it teaches all the things in wrong aspects.
